What is this Eppicard all about?

The government introduced the eppicard as a more modern way for people to receive payments issued from the state. The eppicard was first unleashed in 2005 with the main target being to replace the then current system of government issued checks for receiving benefit payments.

People familiar with collecting child support checks will have probably already made the upgrade to new eppicard system. It’s a great way to access your child support funds whilst being able to use it like a regular credit or debit card. That means drawing funds from ATM machines, paying for goods in stores and using it online to make a purchase. Probably the main advantage for most people is the fact you get your account instantly credited with your allocate funds which beats a trip to the bank every month and having to then wait for the check to clear before being able to access the funds. The date your funds are due will be the date your card is credited. The situation when this may not be the case would be if the payment is meant for a Saturday or Sunday for which the funds would be credited on the next Monday.

How does somebody get an Eppicard?

Don’t fear, its ever so easy. To apply for an Eppicard you need to contact your state office and make the application with them. They have the authority to grant or deny you an Eppicard which will depend on if you are eligible for welfare payments or not. All eppicards that get granted are mailed to their recipients within 10 days of being successful.

Georgia Eppicard website

The Georgia Eppicard website is the section of the eppicard system dedicated to Georgia.  Each state has their individual site to help them if they are experienced problems of any kind.  The sites can also be used to login into your eppicard account to check your balance.  Payments are automatic so your card will be topped up by the government each month with your child support payment, that means no more waiting for checks to clear.

Feedback from this relativity new system is good, mainly because of the automated process and the fact that there is less paperwork.  Some say perhaps this type of system should of been in place some time ago as technology would of supported it, but at least it is here now.

The VA Eppicard is the abbreviation given to the state of Virginia for their own eppicard.   December 2005 was the year that the Eppicard VA came into action and ever since people have been receiving their child support payments a lot quicker and more efficiently.  This method means money is instant and mothers can go out the same day to use their topped up balance.

Withdrawals at atm machines is also allowed which makes things easier too, but credit is never given so you cannot go over drawn.  This is a sensible decision made by the government in my opinion.

If you don’t live in Virginia then your state will have their own eppicard and rules vary slightly between each one so it is worth checking them out to make sure you are able to use yours at atm’s too because I believe that some machines will charge users to take out money so make sure you use the atms that dont.  Further information can been seen using the links below.

Eppicard NJ is short for the eppicard published and released in New Jersey and is given to people who are on Child Support.  The card is similar to a credit card in the way it gives the user an option to pay for goods using as a cash card or able to draw money from an atm machine.  The only thing you are not allowed to do is spend more money than is on the card, which would mean borrowing and going into credit.  The amount on the card is all that is available.

The Eppicard system has been in use for some time now and the Eppicard NJ is as popular as any other.  It makes the whole system run more smoothly as you don’t have to wait for your child support check in the post and then have to wait for it to clear before being able to access the money.  the eppicard way means the cash is instantly credited onto the card on the same day each month by the government and there is no waiting.

Mississippi Eppicard payments are collected on a monthly basis just like all other states.  The amount due is credited to your card automatically each month which means you no longer have to get to the bank to bank or cash a check.  Also you will have no time to wait for checks to clear.
